TEACHING STATEMENT

Through pedagogue I aim to empower students to explore marginalized perspectives and identities by critical engaging with their world. I encourage students to challenge conventional boundaries and norms by delving into grounded, hands-on learning, namely through socially-engaged participatory and multi-disciplinary experiences. This approach seeks to integrate theory with praxis by collaboratively developing a nurturing and transformative learning environment that equips students with the tools to effect meaningful change. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire students to become compassionate and informed advocates/accomplices. I also try to demonstrate this in my own activism/scholarship.
